In addition, the CP9180 is fully updateable via the Internet, so it is designed to accommodate future vehicles as well. The device features a large, easy-to-read backlit screen that shows the trouble code and its definition. And although you still have to fix the problem that your scanner detects, this device will deactivate the “check engine” light on your dash so you’ll no longer be distracted while you drive. Paid for Itself
The scanner was easy to use right out of the box and operated as advertised. It paid for itself on the second use and saved me a lot of time as well. It would be even better if it were compatible with the O2 sensors on my truck.

More Than Expected

I did some research before I bought this unit and it paid off… I was expecting the best unit at a fair price, but what I got exceeded my expectations. I would certainly recommend this unit to anyone that wants to find out what that “check engine” light is all about.

CP9180 Review
As a home mechanic I needed to understand what the ‘Check Engine Light’ was trying to tell me. In my newer car this meant I needed a Code Scanner. I never take anything to the Dealer as I’d much rather do the work myself and spend the money on tools. At least I get something tangible for my money and I know the work is done well. I found ‘Actron’ mentioned in a few disserent message boards around the net so I decided to research them.

I found they offered a wide range of scanners so decided to call them to ask which one would fit my needed. Seems the CP9180 was it and WELL worth the money.

So if you’re like me and can respect a good tool, don’t hisitate and purchse this device.
